Meet Natasa

Dear Guests, Welcome to my hometown, Split, the heart of Central Dalmatia. My name is Natasa Mardesic, and I am a certified local guide with a license to conduct tours in English, German, and Italian.

For me, being a guide is so much more than just a job. I am dedicated to being present in the moment to give you my very best. My personal passion lies in exploring hidden ancient wisdom, mythology, and the sacred feminine, so I am always open to deep questions and progressive ideas.

For over 10 years, I have been working with individuals and groups on day and multi-day programs focusing on history and culture, as well as hiking, sailing, gastronomy, and wine.

As an avid travel enthusiast, I have enjoyed hiking extensively and particularly loved high-altitude trekking (above 5,500 meters). I was honored to represent Croatia as an ambassador of my country at various international tourist fairs throughout the EU and to host foreign journalists participating in Croatian sailing regattas.

I have also contributed to numerous cultural projects, served as a project manager for various tourist publications, and worked as an editor for Hübners Who Is Who, an encyclopedia published by a Swiss company.

In addition to 15 years of non-formal education, attending various workshops that helped me seek truth and live a purposeful life, I completed professional programs in tourism, including:

  • Storytelling and Interpretive Guide Certification from Interpret Europe (Split, 2024)
  • Professional Tourist Guide Exam at Aspira – University College of Management and Design (Split, 2014)
  • Professional Program in Tourist Agency Management at the Faculty of Economics, Business and Tourism (Split, 2009)
  • Cambridge First Certificate in English (Loughton, UK, 1991)
  • Advanced German Language Certificate (Deutsch als Fremdsprache Oberstufe) at Lissania (Frankfurt, 1993).

As we walk through the centuries together, I look forward to sharing the rhythm of the Universe and the experience of life’s sacred dance with you, my dear guests!

Warm regards,
Natasa Mardesic

Our tour of Split and Trogir with Robert and Nives was fantastic. As we planned this tour months in advance , he was great at communicating with us of any necessary changes and did a great job of accommodating us. The tour itself was great and they were extremely knowledgeable of the area and the history of each place visited. My wife and I both highly recommend this great tour.

I have travelled extensively over the past 40 years and Robert and Rada were the best guides I have ever had. We had a group of 8 touring Trogir and Split Croatia with a delicious and relaxing lunch at the winery. Robert was informative and entertaining and a great guy. I would highly recommend touring with them.

Natasa gave us a great tour. They are very passionate and knowledgeable about Split and the surrounding area. Her sense of humor kept us entertained the entire day. A visit and lunch at a local winery was a highlight of the day.

We had so much fun with Luka, we could listen for hours to him. What a good and passionate storyteller, lovely human being and—of course—a big GOT fan! Thank you Luka!

Incredible tour and I learned so much. Luka is so deeply knowledgeable about Split, Croatian and European history. I have a better understanding now of the history of this beautiful place and will be able to keep learning on my own.

Natasa was the perfect tour guide—knowledgable, enthusiastic, friendly and funny. He made things come to life and no question went unanswered. All in all a most interesting and informative tour!

The Diocletian Palace is huge and complex. Thanks to Robert and his fellow guide/friend, Rada, we got to see all of it along with an understanding of the Palace's evolution to the present. Old Split is truly alive. Robert is one of a kind and very entertaining and Rada indulged my passion for architecture along with the history. Wonderful tour!

Nives was an amazing tour guide in Split. She helped me with information before the tour so we could customize it and make it exactly what we wanted.
Rusell, October 2024
The tour of Split and Trogir was a great experience with Nives. I did not know much about Croatia before this trip and now have a real appreciation for the country.
